On May 13, 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences hosted a Sector Days event at the Şehit Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall. Four professionals from BDO Turkey, Ernst & Young, Insider One, and Allianz Turkey shared their career paths and sector knowledge with students in a session that concluded with an open question-and-answer segment.
The Faculty's Sector Days programme continued this week with a session dedicated to audit and finance. Four professionals active in these fields addressed students on their career trajectories, the organisations they represent, and the broader dynamics of their respective sectors.
Dr. Cahit EVCİL, Partner for Labour Law and Social Security at BDO Turkey, opened the event. Drawing on his personal career experience, EVCİL gave participants an overview of BDO Turkey's history, service areas, and organisational structure.
Dr. Hakkı DEMİRCİ, Social Security and Labour Legislation Services Leader at Ernst & Young (EY), followed with an account of his professional progression and the workings of EY's tax department. DEMİRCİ also provided a detailed explanation of the company's recruitment processes and the qualities it looks for in candidates.
Tuğçe YEMENİCİ, Head of Tax and Accounting at Insider One, addressed the role of audit firms in the business world and shared the professional realities of working within such organisations. YEMENİCİ's presentation also covered the corporate structure of Sabancı Holding and its place within the broader business landscape.
Esra ÖZMAN, Group Manager for Health Insurance at Allianz Turkey, closed the session by describing how her career moved into the insurance sector. ÖZMAN covered the general dynamics of the insurance industry and provided participants with insights into the structures and market positions of AK Sigorta and Allianz.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session in which students engaged directly with the speakers.
