3 Projects from the ELL Department Approved by TÜBİTAK

The Department of English Language and Literature at Pamukkale University is pleased to announce that TÜBİTAK has officially approved three unique projects developed with the collaborative efforts of both students and department members.

Projects that received approval:

  • “Perception of English Literature Among High School Foreign Language Class Students”: This research examines the perceptions of high school students in foreign language tracks regarding English literature.

     

  • “Adapting Tolkien: An Examination of Intermedial Incompatibilities Between J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and Contemporary Screen Adaptations.” This project investigates the challenges of adaptation that arise when literary texts are transformed into contemporary visual media, emphasising the works of Tolkien as a primary focus.

     

  • PACES (Pamukkale University Conference for English Literature Studies for Undergraduate Students): This initiative seeks to enhance undergraduate students’ academic presentation skills and support the interaction of ideas from various fields related to the English language, literature, and culture.

The English Language and Literature Department prioritises initiatives that enhance students' academic growth while fostering exemplary research practices. We believe such projects are essential for our students' development and the advancement of the field.
