The Pamukkale University Faculty of Engineering 2024–2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held with great enthusiasm and pride on June 19, 2025. Having successfully completed a long and intense academic process, students received their graduation certificates at a magnificent ceremony, taking the first steps toward their professional lives.
The ceremony was honored with the participation of Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud GÜNGÖR, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet İNEL, Prof. Dr. Ersan ÖZ, and Prof. Dr. İbrahim TÜRKÇÜER, the university's faculty deans and directors, the city's leading chamber presidents, representatives of the industrial world, the university's valuable academic and administrative staff, young engineering candidates, and their families.
Participation and Opening Speeches
The opening remarks of the ceremony were delivered by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mahmud GÜNGÖR; Ms. Derya BALTALI, President of the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone and Chair of the Board of Directors of OIZ Teknopark; Mr. Selim KASAPOĞLU, President of the Denizli Chamber of Industry; Prof. Dr. Sezai TOKAT, Dean of our Faculty; and Onur ODUNCU, the valedictorian of the Faculty and a graduate of the Computer Engineering Department, on behalf of the graduating students. The speeches emphasized the strategic role of engineering in our country's development, the importance of qualified workforce, and the necessity of university-industry collaboration.

Our Faculty Top Students and Their Success Stories
On this meaningful day, Onur ODUNCU, a graduate of the Computer Engineering Department who ranked first in his faculty, Tunay SOLAK, a graduate of the Industrial Engineering Department who ranked second in his faculty, and Azra ERTURAL, a graduate of the Industrial Engineering Department who ranked third in his faculty, received a standing ovation. All of our top students were wholeheartedly congratulated.
In addition, Samet Rahmi SELAM, a graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a member of the Pamukkale University "Maker" community who won the 3rd place in the Gebze Technical University 2023 KelebekRo event and the 1st and 3rd place awards in the Boğaziçi University 2023 BROCUP ROBOT CUP, was also a source of pride with his achievements.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate Enes GÜRBÜZ, a member of the "Duck" Team who won the Second Prize at the Innovative Ideas Camp, organized by Aydem and hosted by our university, with 69 projects from 19 different universities participating, and his advisor Prof. Dr. Can Berk KALAYCI were also commemorated with appreciation at the ceremony.
Esra Nur ÇOBANLAR, a graduate of the Computer Engineering Department, who came in first in Turkey in the Inter-University Kickboxing Championship held in 2023 and qualified to participate in the European Championship to be held in Warsaw, Poland, on August 22–25, 2025, was also invited to the stage with applause.
The ceremony concluded with our graduating students enthusiastically tossing their caps into the air and taking commemorative photos. We extend our gratitude to all our guests, students' families, and faculty and administrative staff for joining us on this meaningful day.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our new graduates and wish them continued success in their engineering journeys.
