What is IELTS?
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is a language test which is implemented all over the world to determine a person’s language level who wants to complete a master degree or a doctorate both nationally and abroad; in areas where English is valid. IELTS is the world's most preferred language test. Today, IELTS is a test which is applied in 120 countries in more than 300 centers. As IELTS is accepted as equivalent to (ÜDS-KPDS) in our country, it is a language test which is also accepted by the universities and private or public institutions and in a lot of countries such as Australia, Canada, England, USA, New Zealand, and Ireland.
What is the test format? What does it consist of?
IELTS includes the four basic language skills which should be included in all language exams: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The exam is presented as 2 test formats; Academic and General Training. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 45 minutes. Exam results are announced between 14-21 days and the examination is done at various centers several times a year.
REGISTRATION
Candidates must apply at least 5 weeks in advance.
For the IELTS exam which will be held at Pamukkale University the School of Foreign Languages the application deadline is March 19, 2013.
